Yesterday, we took Mummy and Papa out for dinner at Kublai Khan Mongolian BBQ & International Buffet @ Park Mall to celebrate their upcoming birthday this week (yeah, very easy to have 2-in-1 celebration cos their birthday falls on consecutive days). ^_^ And I enjoyed the fun Beebee and I shared on our way to town as we battled with each other in my new DS game. Haha.
Papa was the one who suggested this place, so I'd made a reservation the day before. But it turned out that no reservation was necessary, cos less than half the restaurant was filled with diners. That's surprising to me, since I learnt that it used to be really packed on weekends when it was located at Ngee Ann City previously. I guess the human traffic at Park Mall just can't be compared to that at Ngee Ann City, even if the food's okay.
And we had quite a feast, even though the variety's not as good as other Sakura, which was the last place we had a family buffet meal at. And as with all the buffet meals we've enjoyed before, we were all full after about an hour and a half of eating, so the last half an hour before we asked for the bill was spent eating the rest of what we ordered slowly. Sigh, we really must master the art of eating at buffets and learn to take it easy at the beginning instead of enthusiastically devouring whatever appeals to us. Haha. And as Mummy said, the one who got the most out of the buffet meal was, once again, Hubby. That's cos only he eats the expensive raw stuff like salmon and oysters. Heh.
Haiz. This week must make up for all the food consumed last night again! (Seems like these days I'm always making up for feasts I enjoyed, only to indulge in another one... :p)
