Floating 'bits'

This is what happens when I'm way too busy at work to remember I've a mug to wash or to make myself a new cup of tea...

Looks disgusting, right? Came back to work today and finally thought of starting the crazy work week with a steaming cup of tea...removed the lid from my mug and was greeted by this sight. The white floating bits near the spoon were some kind of mold...got goosebumps when I saw them and immediately dumped everything else to quickly get rid of the tea that must have been at least 5 days old and then made sure I scrubbed and sterilised everything with hot water!

Eeeew.
