My advanced Christmas gift!

Eeee? What's this next to my darling plush pug?

Rip it open...What do we have here???

It's the Nintendo DSi! :D

This is the latest handheld game console by Nintendo that follows the Nintendo DS Lite. Hubby got this for me, intending to present it to me for Christmas, but he ended up having to pass it to me last night. Haha...it's a funny story. After watching the Singapore Grand Prix on TV last night, I craved for some excitement in racing of my own, so I challenged Hubby to a game of Mariokart on DS (yeah yeah, mine's the cartoon race version :p). Realised while playing the game that there was something wrong with my left direction button -- it was kinda retarded and wouldn't respond well when I pressed it, and I had to press it so hard that it hurt my thumb after a while. Was thinking that I'd have to take out my first generation DS to use cos I didn't really wanna spend money buying a new one just cos that button wasn't working fine...then a few minutes after I said that, Hubby re-appeared before me with this pressie! Haha...said he had no choice but to give this to me now that my DS Lite isn't working well. So sweet... ^_^

Nevertheless, Hubby was a little annoyed that his little Christmas surprise was ruined, but I totally enjoyed myself exploring some of the functions that came with this toy. Compared to the DS Lite, the DSi has got larger screens, and is slimmer, but the most fun part is that it's now got this built-in interactive camera function. I can actually use the DSi to take pictures, and then transfer them to my SD card (there's a slot for this at the side of the console) to be loaded onto the computer! I can also edit the images taken using various effects. Cool! There's also connection to an online store etc, but I doubt I'd be using that much. Can't wait to play and take pics on the DSi! Haha.

Hubby also made sure my new DSi has got screen protectors plastered on both the screens. My previous screen was so badly scratched cos there wasn't one to protect it and I can get kinda rough when playing games using the touch screen. :p

Am delighted with this gift! But now there's one problem: What shall I get for Hubby? *scratch head*
